Why should I consider Make Their Day Services?

  • Our unique home services offer a variety of combinations for you or someone you know who can use the gift of time or extra hands!

  • Consider our home services if you are looking for unique offerings for yourself, employees, family & friends who could use some extra hands; or the gift of time. You will Make Their Day!  
  • We care; we are licenced, insured, bonded, WHMIS and FoodSafe certified and WorkSafe BC insured.  Receipts are provided.  Not all service providers offer this coverage or provide receipts.

How do I purchase a gift card ?

  • Easy! Just call us or email us and we will arrange to get the gift card to you or to the problem!
How do I purchase services for myself?
  • Easy!  Just call or email us and we will discuss the services you are wanting to book and schedule appropriately.  

What are your terms and conditions for your gift cards?

  • Make Their Day gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value.
  • Any remaining balance can be applied to future services booked; we are not able to honour requests for a cash refund.
  • Gift cards are good for residential services in the areas we serve.
  • Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • The face value of your gift card will be applied to all costs incurred as part of your home services and appropriate taxes.
  • Any amount in excess of the face value of the gift card will need to be paid directly to Make Their Day upon completion of the home services.
  • Gift cards are issued by Make Their Day Services and do not expire.

What if I want more hours of services than what is on my gift card OR don't use up the amount on the gift card?

  • If there are more hours purchased than initial services rendered, payment will be required in full.  Any amount remaining on the gift card can be applied to future home services booked. 

How do I schedule services?

  • If you are looking to purchase services for yourself, contact us via phone or email and we will arrange to meet with you to go over services you are requesting and schedule the services for you.
  • If you are the recipient of our gift cards,  you already know that someone special wanted to Make Your Day by giving you the gift of time!  You now have the pleasure of choosing from our unique home services. Contact us to discuss the details and schedule a date and time for your home services.  We will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • We would love to meet with you face to face to discuss your needs but know this is not always convenient so we are happy to gather the information via phone, skype, etc. with you.  

What do you charge?

  • Our rates for our unique home service options are $35.00 per person hour (plus GST) with a minimum booking of 3 hours for each home service selection/combination;  some of our home services may be combined; yes, again...unique! Our premier cleaning is 4 hours minimum booking.
  • We take a number of factors into consideration for cleaning service combinations such as, but not limited to, size of home, number of rooms, pets, etc.  

When and how do I pay?

  • We want to make payment a breeze! An invoice will be emailed to the purchaser for payment in full.  Payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer.  Companies can also pay by cheque. We want to make it easy for you to Make Their Day!  Once payment is made, the purchaser will receive a receipt either via email or mail.

What are your hours?

  • Our normal business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 - 5:00 and Saturday from 9:00 - 3:00. But don't let that stop you; if you have a special need, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do you bring the groceries for meal prep, lunches, snacks?

  • We would be happy to pick up pre-paid groceries for you as part of our hourly rate to save you time.  If you like, we can provide you with a grocery list for the menu options you choose; if you have dietary restrictions and require alternate menu options, we will work with you to accommodate your needs. (Note:  we are not Celiac certified). If you have a craving for a special meal that reminds you of home...let us know. 

Are you insured?

  • We certainly are!  We truly care about our clients and our staff!  We want to ensure both the safety of our clients and the safety of our staff; we do so in a number of ways: we are licensed, insured, bonded, WHMIS and FoodSafe certified and covered by WCB. Why? Because we want to ensure that you, the client, and our staff are not put at risk...we really do care!
  • In addition to the above, we ensure our clients' safety by conducting in-depth interviews and reference checks and require a criminal record check with a clean history; all prior to employment! We ensure our staffs' safety by allowing them to refuse potentially unsafe situations related to climbing, moving and lifting; and personal health and safety in the home.

Are there things you are not able to do?

There are some activities our insurance policy does not allow us to do.  For example:
  • We are not able to provide services related to babysitting or transporting children.
  • We are able to dust light bulbs, not wet wipe due to high risk of breakage.
  • We are not able to handle any feces in the home (human or animal), black mold or other hazardous waste.
  • Also, we hope you understand that the health and safety of our staff is very important to us so if staff enter a home we deem as extremely messy or unkempt, we reserve the right to refuse the scheduled booking; the purchaser will not be charged.  We ensure our staffs' safety by allowing them to refuse potentially unsafe situations related to climbing, moving and lifting; and personal health and safety in the home.
What about my valuables?
  • We care about your home and your valuable items and takes extreme caution, however, please ensure you put away any precious items which are fragile, breakable and/or irreplaceable as we cannot be responsible should these precious valuables unintentionally break.

Do I need to be home?

  • Of course not; this is your time...You can choose to go out or take it as an opportunity to relax and enjoy!  If you do choose to go and do something fun for you, we will arrange access and departure with you prior to coming onsite.

Which cleaning option should I choose?

  • If you have not had a professional clean in the past couple of months, we recommend a more in-depth clean which is our premier clean for our first-time clients as it offers a more comprehensive clean than our classic clean which is a great option for a regular clean. We can help to make sure your home gets that extra care so you can enjoy!
  • We take a number of factors into consideration for cleaning service combinations such as, but not limited to, size of home, number of rooms, pets, etc.

What if I need to reschedule?

  • We know life happens.  If you need to cancel or re-book, we would appreciate 48 hours notice so that we can work with you to re-schedule your services and also to provide our unique services to other clients who are waiting.  If we do not receive any word from you at all prior to the scheduled services, we may require full payment for services which were scheduled.

Do you have a guarantee?

  • We will do our very best to ensure we have Made Your Day 100%!  If you are home, we will perform a walk-through with you to ensure you are satisfied and rectify any concerns you have.  If you are not home when the services have been completed and if, for some reason, any portion of the services booked and provided are not satisfactory to you, contact us as soon as possible within 24 hours of completion of the services to advise us of the situation.  We will return at our earliest opportunity and rectify the situation of the booked service for you.  
  • Our mission is to provide you with amazing service and results!  In order to do so, it is important we stay on task so we will follow the checklist we have agreed on with you and in order to do so, request the opportunity to work with minimal interruptions. 

What areas do you service?

  • We would love to be everywhere for everyone but for now we offer  Make Their Day...Home Services for Busy Families to those living in Kelowna or West Kelowna areas!
